Animation

As Laurie described those of us who chose to rotoscope, "You're fools!" And I don't disagree with her at this point.  Originally I thought, "Rotoscoping will be great!" because I downloaded the Astropad app last year and had yet to really try it out.  Astropad allows you to connect your iPad to your computer and it displays your computer screen.  So with the proper stylus, you can draw and illustrate on your various computer programs using your iPad like a drawing tablet.  This was great practice, but boy was it time consuming and full of problem solving.  Like the fact that CSULB's WIFI only lets you connect one device, meaning I couldn't connect my iPad to my computer because it connects with WIFI and not Bluetooth.  This required the purchase of a fancy new Apple cord from the Student Art Store.

I will say that I had some great ideas going into it, and I feel I was able to stick to them for the most part.  BUT after spending an hour+ animating, then clicking play and only getting about 1 second of material, I realized I needed to slightly modify and cut out a few things that I wanted to add (see the story board link below).  Regardless, I think this turned out a lot better than I could have planned it, and I may dabble in the Rotoscope field in the future.
